Before Satin & Slate had their hands in designing this Petaluma remodel the house needed a lot of work to bring it to modern times.
The floor plan did not work, the wood needed to be replaced and all in all the design needed to change.
Also, because this house had not been renovated in a while it needed to be gutted and built again.
The same bones were used to upgrade the layout and of course the finishes of the house.
After the renovation this Petaluma remodel has not only updated the look of the house but it has also new life again. The mid-century looks is complemented by the fence and the finishes.
The design also helped open the areas in which the family would gather the most in the house which are the kitchen and living room.
The end result of this renovation is a beautiful home with plenty of space for the family and a look that is not only modern and sleek but above all functional.
The bedrooms were design to have a sleek look to complement the bathrooms.
The master bathroom features a tub to die for in which the homeowners can rest after a long day of work. The two showers give them space to each have their own space.
Overall, the bathrooms have a modern and an updated look but they also count with the practicality needed for the whole family.
The kitchen and living spaces had to be open to comprise a larger area for the whole family to fit in one place.
The focal point of the living room is the chimney which features a darker color contrasting it with the rest of the house making it stand out in the space.
The kitchen features up-to-date appliances, an island to help with storage and also a lot of windows for a brighter space in which dingy is no more.
At the end, this space is welcoming and open for all the family to enjoy it.
