Backyard Hardscape

This Pacific Palisades residence needed help with their backyard hardscape. With the collaboration of Builder Boy, Satin and slate designed an area in which the pool area and BBQ area together with the patio deck and driveway had a consistent design. The flow between one area to the next needed to connect and flow without interruption, this was accomplished by carrying the stone throughout those areas.

CHIMNEY

In this design, the homeowners did not want to have one focal point but various instead. In the patio area the dinning table complemented the stone on the pillars and chimney.

This chimney was a combination of design from Satin & Slate and the homeowners ability to vision the space when there was nothing done yet. While the stone gives the entire chimney a rustic look, the sleek design of the frame makes the the chimney look elegant.

POOL AREA

Satin & Slate designed the pool area to have a continued flow through smaller spaces like the sitting area and the yard. The consistency of the project was developed by having the same aesthetic throughout the property.

The stone was installed to give the design the cohesive look the homeowner was looking for. The space also has a luxury feel and the design cleaner lines.

BBQ AREA

This area was designed to be part of the whole project but retaining its own features making it unique.

Satin & Slate was able to achieve a cohesive and elegant look by incorporating the same stone into the build ins. It appears to be another part of the house because of the continued line of the stone in the patio and the pillars.

PILLARS

The pillars in this project were very important to achieve the rustic look the homeowners wanted.

They complement the overall look of the house and with the stone placed throughout the patio the look is sophisticated and clean.
